Enola Holmes

The game is afoot once again with the familiar name, Holmes. Although this time around, it is not the famous detective we all know love, dear old Sherlock. It is instead his long lost sister that no one knew about. Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown) is a not the typical 16 year old girl that was brought up as proper lady but instead a... modern lady. After being taught by her eccentric mother (Helena Bonham Carter) in the fields of science, excessive reading and a bit of martial arts here and there, Enola Holmes stands as a woman ahead of her time.

This new Netflix original based on a book series that was clearly not written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, is one to remember. In the Holmes lore, Enola definitely will be a female inspiration to all little girls out there but there are so many female role models nowadays. Which to pick? Who's the best? Well, we don't have to pick sides. I suppose this the case because Millie Bobby Brown is here to stay in her latest feature being anything but a moody-telekinetic teenager.

Other than the fact she is a credited producer for the film, but she undeniably is the perfect actress to play a sibling of the greatest detective in literary history and I honestly do not see anyone else taking her place. Sherlock may have been adapted one too many times, but seeing Henry Cavill widening his cape from being the Man of Steel, then the Witcher and now Sherlock Holmes makes him possibly the next Tom Hardy (unfortunately, no one is as chameleon-like when it comes acting than Tom Hardy, no doubt).

The film definitely felt like a Holmes tale with the mystery, the humor, the banter between the siblings and the most important ingredient of them all when telling a great detective tale is the plot twist. The film definitely does it well when the film only reveals the real mystery that we are supposed to be focusing on because confusingly enough, there are 2. One was well... teased in the trailer and the other, is the one is kept safely for audiences to find out until they actually watch the movie.

Sherlock fans, this is for you. Enola Holmes is as fun and witty as most Sherlock Holmes adaptations in the past so, you definitely will not be disappointed when you watch the movie. Will there be a possible franchise in that making? There might be possibility if you guy actually WATCH THE MOVIE. So, go on. Stream it now on Netflix. Go Go! You know you want to.
