Loki Episode 5: Journey into Mystery (Spoiler-Free Review)

Loki has once again broken the minds of Marvel-lites everywhere with the all-new episode filled with easter eggs and a bigger revelation towards everyone's most relied-on theory as to who the real antagonist is. This week's episode is called Journey Into Mystery and does it ever live up to the title? Yesss. This whole episode is a hell of a journey on its own even if it is within a bigger journey of Loki becoming more instead of following the growth of the other Loki we watched throughout the first three phases of the MCU.

With the additions to the show as well as future members of the MCU, Loki has once again proved to exist to only make itself better as each episode passes. Unfortunately, Loki is coming to an end next week and we can't help wondering if the finale will be as satisfying as we want it to be. With Marvel Studios previous shows, finales haven't exactly had good luck but good faith is set within the hype of Loki's finale, which makes us less worrried.

However, episode 5 seems to be so fun and so expansive on its own that it could end up set apart from the wider MCU but then again, that could change next week onwards. Loki also manages to make itself different since there are plans to continue Loki's adventures with a second season (something that has yet to be confirmed but considering since its been in the air, its less likely to be a rumour) unlike the previous Marvel Studios produced shows.

One wide quality Marvel fans will be happy with is how much they wanted to make sure the instances and characters featured in this episode to be really comic accurate, making the storylines in the comics canon as well. Also, the nod to an old fan theory made up from Infinity War makes an appearance also guaranteeing that the people at Marvel Studios are indeed paying attention to what goes on Twitter and Reddit when the Marvel hashtag is used.
