An Explosive Love Story (Spontaneous)

A movie that depicts our situation very well these days, Spontaneous is an original dark rom-com that manages to make something new out of it. Spontaneous leaves a mark that only a cult classic can make and that is a sense self-realization and heartbreak. 

The film takes place in a town called Covington when a senior from the local high school explodes in front of Mara Carlyle. After that, a pandemic begins amongst the seniors when they realize their lives might end soon. In the midst of the bloody horror, Dylan professes his love Mara via text message. Well, only you can guess what happens next. Love blossoms. 

Starring Katherine Langford in the lead role, the 13 Reasons Why breakout star shows off her acting skills once again, further proving that she is not done with her movie career after her scenes got cut from the final outing of Avengers Endgame. Her chemistry with counterpart Charlie Plummer was fun, cute and worth rooting for in a world where teenagers combust. 

The tone of the movie is light and fluffy while it is R rated for its profanity and gory situation. This combination sometimes end up getting jumbled up into a bad movie but luckily this time, luck was on its side, unlike most of the characters in the film. Surprisingly, the movie was able to make me smile and laugh while also it got me to tear up and take in the overall message.

  This is probably the closest thing to a Marvel team-up we will get for a while, and it is unfortunate that the drama within the media surrounding this film is based on reasons that are not progressive. Loki season 2 (Full season review)

With Marvel in a sort of whirlpool of viewers not having consistent reception towards the content, they seem to be missing a very important and well-done part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Loki lives up to that statement with its second season. Despite its new writers and directors at the helm, the show still showcases the best parts of Marvel's storytelling.  Taking place immediately after the end of season 1, Loki is dealing with the shenanigans of the TVA and the involvement of Kang variants with the release of the multiverse. It is up to Loki and co. (consisting of Mobius, Hunter B-5, and Casey) to deal with the consequences caused by Sylvie. The show still continues to be a trippy, timey-wimey time travel adventure but adds the Marvel-ous flair that made the franchise so memorable. Percy Jackson and The Olympians (Full Season Review)

  With the acquisition of the FOX properties, Disney had the chance to adapt to the world of Percy Jackson once again. However, unlike the last time, Disney makes an adaptation that lives up to the source material as well as embraces author Rick Riordan with production, casting, and various other factors that went into this show.  With this first season following suit of the first novel, The Lightning Thief, Percy Jackson and The Olympians of course, follows the titular character learning of his mythological parentage and what that means when he is thrust into this world as he grows older and more powerful as a demigod. When he is chosen to go on quest based on a prophecy, he enlists help from Annabeth Chase and his best friend/satyr, Grover to find Zeus's missing lightning bolt.  Anyone who has seen the film that was released 12 years ago would have a good idea as to what this first season will cover but people who haven't read the original book will know the many changes that
