WandaVision Episode 9: The Series Finale (Spoiler Free Review)

We have finally reached the end and it is almost too precious to let it go. WandaVision has finally reached its bittersweet end by tying up loose ends as well as leaving some plot points open ended for the rest of the MCU to deal with. It has been such a journey these last few weeks and I am forever grateful for Marvel taking a chance in taking a chance in one of the most complicated comic book character arcs and adapting it in the best way possible but I don't think we are done adapting the House of M just yet.

The WandaVision series finale (yes... because it is a miniseries) manages to bring out the big guns with the epic battle everyone has been waiting for. It may seem a little bit obvious that by this episode, all CGI budgets were dialed to 11 and because it was made during the quarantine, visuals for the episodes looked more computer than real but the effort is worth making up for it with its amazing storyline.

Wanda has finally reached her final stage of grief, accepting what is before her and realizing that her heart may be broken but she can heal. Or can she? Not much acting highlights this episode since this was the finale that featured Marvel-like fight scenes but the star of this episode is Paul Bettany's Vision. With references to the Theseus paradox and that epic beam blast battle, Vision has finally reached his level of becoming more than a synthezoid surpassing whatever Ultron or Tony Stark wanted him to be.

I am surprised that everyone was disappointed with the finale. In my opinion, I thought it was great but I do agree that one of the reveals in the episode did disappoint me but everything was what I wanted to be and more. The only viable explanation I can think of why everyone got disappointed with the finale was how certain fan theories got debunked, proving that fans were once again expecting too much.

For those who are worried that a Marvel sized hole has appeared once again, well... do not fret. Marvel is not done yet. We will have a week break and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier starts, establishing more grounded events taking place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Till then, you fellow readers can finally binge watch the entire WandaVision show in its entirety on Disney Plus or whatever place you guys watching the show in.
