A New Pixar Adventure To Cry For (Disney Pixar's Onward)

Can anyone name a Pixar movie that hasn't made you cry or made you feel warm inside? (Except Cars 2) I'm sure you cant. Pixar has a history of making some of the best 3D animated movies and they have done it again with their latest release, Onward directed by Pixar alum, Dan Scanlon.

The new Pixar feature is based on the modern day lives of fantasy creatures like elves, unicorns and mermaids. The main story is about an 16 year old elf named Ian Lightfoot who has never met his father and has always wanted to live up to him. He learns that his father had left him in his brother, Barley a magical staff that can help them bring him back for one whole day and so the adventure begins. I shall tell you more for I will be spoiling.

Onward is the perfect addition to Pixar's ever growing roster of kid friendly movies that not only give you laughs and make you cry but also give you a new perspective in life. Onward may seem a tad similar to one or two previous Pixar movies but it shows that the familiar formula still works.

Tom Holland and Chris Pratt are the perfect pair to play brothers. People will happen to relate to both Ian and Barley in every way possible. These band of brothers are hard to forget and their relationship not only grows in this movie but also redefines who siblings really are to one another.

The animation of Pixar continues to set a bar in 3D animation for that visuals in Onward are breathtaking and the details are perfect. Directed by Dan Scanlon who happened to make the least inspring Pixar movies in my book has finally made his name worth popping up again in possible future feature for that his work for Onward was both his most personal and best work yet.

Coronovirus may be a common avoidance these days but for the sake of Onward, wear a mask and put on hand sanitizer to get a chance to not miss this possible Pixar classic in the making. I will be rating Onward a 9/10 for that I love it a little too much and I would do almost anything to watch it again. Unfortunately, I won't.

P.S. don't forget to bring tissues when you watch this movie.
